What surgeries do cats need?

Needs will vary depending on your cat’s stage of development and any type of health condition they may have. Below are some of the most common operations we perform on our feline patients:

Does my cat need to fast before their surgery?

Yes. The doctor may require your pet to fast for about 6 to 10 hours before their operation. This means they should not eat any solid foods. They can, however, drink water. If patients have a full stomach coming into surgery, they can potentially vomit during the operation. This puts them at risk of choking.
