After 25 years in human healthcare, Tamara decided it was time to follow her other passion: animals! Veterinary medicine was a natural next chapter, and she hasn’t looked back. She brings excellent customer service skills, a calm and compassionate approach, and the multitasking ability needed to keep up with the many moving parts of a busy veterinary hospital.
A bit of an adventurer, Tamara has lived across Eastern and Western Canada as well as Europe, including Ireland. Her time there included assisting a large animal veterinarian during calving season and working at a racetrack with horses, experiences that deepened her appreciation for the unique bond between people and animals. Today, she’s excited to bring that same care and compassion to the pets and families who walk through our doors.
When she’s not at the clinic, Tamara loves hiking, backcountry camping, travelling, and spending time on horseback. She also enjoys getting creative with art and crafting, and when she’s in the kitchen, cooking and baking up something delicious.
