Samantha B. Registered Veterinary Technologist

Samantha has never met an animal she didn’t want to help, cuddle, or at least have a quick chat with. Her love of veterinary medicine runs deep, but it became especially personal after caring for a partially paralyzed dog of her own. She knows the panic of looking at your pet and thinking, “Okay…what do I do now?” That experience shaped the kind of RVT she wanted to be: someone clients can trust when their pets need help, especially when they’re feeling a little lost themselves. Helping animals feel safe and happy, and giving their people some peace of mind along the way, is what feeds her soul.

One of Samantha’s favourite things about Mill Bay is being surrounded by a team that genuinely cares about doing right by both pets and their people. She loves being part of a group that brings compassion, respect, and plenty of heart to the clinic every day.

When she’s not in scrubs, there’s a good chance Samantha is covered in paint, thread, beads, or some other evidence of her latest creative project. She especially loves painting pet portraits, but is just as happy sewing dog bandanas, beading, or disappearing down whatever crafty rabbit hole has caught her attention that week. Basically, if she can make it, paint it, or get creative with it, she’s interested.

At home, Samantha has her own furry committee: Miso (in the photo), a French Bulldog and Dachshund mix, plus 2 cats, Indie and Kiko. They keep her busy, keep her entertained, and are naturally convinced that everything she does is ultimately for their benefit.

Fun fact: Samantha speaks a little Afrikaans, thanks to her South African parents.
