Born and raised in Mill Bay, Brooklyn has been part of the Mill Bay Veterinary Hospital crew since May 2025, when she joined us as a dedicated and reliable volunteer. She quickly made herself at home, and by Spring 2026, she had officially worked her way into the role of Junior Veterinary Assistant. Clearly, we weren’t letting her leave!
Quiet, calm, and delightfully unflappable, Brooklyn has a natural way with animals that makes even the wiggliest patients trust her. She’s a quick study, a dependable teammate, and has become an important part of keeping the treatment room running smoothly. Whether she’s helping keep things organized or making sure patients are safe, comfortable, and well cared for, Brooklyn brings a level of dedication well beyond her years.
And when it comes to dogs, Brooklyn has never been one to think small and she's happiest when she's around them, especially the big ones. Outside the hospital, she shares life with her Rottweiler, Reggie, and Great Dane, Nessie, so calling her a “large dog enthusiast” might be putting it mildly!
With her sights set on returning to school, Brooklyn is considering a future as either a Registered Veterinary Technologist or a Veterinarian. Whichever path she chooses, we know her future patients will be in some very calm, capable, and caring hands.
