Blood Tests for Dogs

Blood Tests play an important role in Veterinary medicine. We are able to tell a lot about the health of your dog by analyzing blood work. We are fortunate to be able to offer in-house blood work as well as many other reference labs to fulfil your dog’s needs.

Why is it important to perform blood tests for dogs?

Bloods test can give us vital information about the health of our dogs. They can detect diseases such as renal failure and immune-mediated illnesses to certain cancers and endocrine disorders. It is also a good idea to have a baseline so that in times of illness we can compare with what is normal for your pet.

How do I interpret my dog’s blood test results?

Blood work is done in combination with a Veterinary consultation/exam. The consultation includes an interpretation of the tests that were run.
