Christine Braun

Registered Veterinary Technician
A love and enjoyment of all animals inspired me to become an RVT. As a child we always had pets and I rode horses through my teens and early twenties. I graduated from Thompson River in 1992 but at that time it was Cariboo College then University College of the Cariboo. I have always enjoyed working in a mixed animal practice and there are limited clinics in our area that are mixed. I did my practicum here in 1992 and was excited to work here. I was looking to work closer to home and in 2005 the opportunity arose to leave Saseenos Vet Services and join the Mill Bay team. I really enjoy a variety of tasks but I really enjoy surgery and surgery assistance. I am also interested in pain management. What I love most about my job is being able to send a patient home to their family after an illness, happy and healthy is very rewarding. I like being part of a team and the days are never boring. There is always something new to learn. My favourite things about the clinic are the variety of patients, our staff and our facility. Our first pet was a Sheltie named Rob-Dog. Our first cat was a huge tomcat named Sam. He could catch a bird mid-flight with his "caters-mitt" paws! Fun fact about me is that I can't believe I have been a tech for 25 years! Where has the time gone? I still love what I do!
